Love! Thank you for your interest in this cozy offering with myself and Breanna Guiotto. We are so excited to share this practice as a way to support you in deep, regenerative rest.
A RestFULL Afternoon is a beautiful fusion of Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra with Reiki.
Both Breanna and myself, Laura Dunford, are trained guides of Yoga Nidra. I am also trained and certified in Restorative Yoga Teaching and Reiki, as a Level II Practitioner.
Through this practice, you can expect a very effortless flow of Restorative Yoga postures, into an experience of Yoga Nidra. This precious time of rest will be supported by optional Reiki, aromatherapy, gentle touch and massage. We intend to hold space for you to relax deeply, settling into a state of ease and balance.

About Restorative Yoga:
In this practice we dive deep into rest and relaxation. With the use of lots of pillows, blankets, and yoga props, we settle into postures that are so gentle, we use little to no effort while holding them for 5-8 minutes! The cornerstone of this practice is being attentive and conscious with the set up of props for the postures, so that from there, you can simply relax back into gravity and enjoy being in them. This Restorative Yoga practice is deeply calming for the nervous system and highly accessible. Suited to all levels of yoga experience.
About Yoga Nidra:
Yoga Nidra refers to a practice of yogic sleep. It is a systematic guided relaxation and it is very user friendly. The practitioner gets comfortable in a still, reclined posture, and follows the instructions offered by the guide, to enter deep states of rest and relaxation. Like restorative yoga, it is very accessible way to soothe the nervous system and so these two practices work together beautifully!
The word Reiki can be translated to mean spiritual universal life force energy; Similar to Prana (Indian), Chi or Qi (Chinese), or Huna (Hawaiian). The Japanese modality of Reiki is nearly one hundred years old and is a process of a practitioner laying hands on a client and inviting Reiki, or life force energy, to flow into, and through the client freely. In this experience energetic blockages may be released to bring spiritual anatomy into better alignment. It is important to note that physical touch is not necessary to receive the benefits of Reiki.
The benefits and healing of Reiki are experienced not only in the energetic body, but can also be noticed mentally, physically and emotionally. You may even continue to notice benefits up until a week after a treatment.
