Join Laura Dunford for a deeply restful afternoon of Restorative Yoga, Reiki, and Yoga Nidra under the energy of the Full Moon.
The full moon is often seen as a time of illumination, reflection, and release. A moment to pause and notice what is asking to be acknowledged, softened, or let go of. This offering is intended to create space for rest within that process. A gentle invitation to slow down, reconnect, and be supported.
Together, we will settle into a nourishing restorative yoga practice using supportive props and long held postures designed to help the body release tension and support the nervous system in unwinding. Throughout the practice, Laura will offer the option to receive gentle massage and Reiki to encourage relaxation, grounding, and energetic balance.
The afternoon will close with Yoga Nidra, often translated as “yogic sleep,” a guided meditation practice that invites deep rest while resting in a state between waking and sleeping. This practice can support restoration on physical, mental, emotional, and energetic levels.
No previous yoga experience is needed! This practice is less about movement and more about allowing yourself to be held in stillness and rest.
Laura has been teaching yoga since 2014 and has completed over 2000 hours of training in areas including Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Ayurveda, Pranayama, Chair Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and trauma informed yoga teaching. She is also a Level II Reiki Practitioner and is passionate about creating grounded, compassionate spaces that support nervous system care, rest, and self connection.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat along with any restorative props you may already have such as blankets, bolsters, or blocks. A limited number of extra props will be available to share.
Space is limited to keep the experience intimate and supportive. Advance registration is recommended.
We will gather at the warm and welcoming studio at the House of Healing Arts.
